Recent Events

VPR has organized several major events in 2009!

• An Evening with the Duchess - featuring Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson - A fundraiser for the Medical Foundation of Marion and Polk Counties benefiting MedAssist and Project Access.

• 7th Annual No Child Left Behind Parent Conference - More then 1000 parents and children from the Salem-Keizer School District gathered during this day-long event at McKay High School.  The conference provides parents with more tools to help their children succeed in school.

• Renewable Heating Symposium - this new event for the Oregon Hearth Patio and Barbeque Association featured a national panel of speakers and focused on renewable residential heating education.

Fred VanNatta Announces Willamette University Scholarship

• Three Willamette University students are receiving financial support for their internships with the current legislative session from the Fred VanNatta Public Policy Internship Fund. Fred recently endowed a permanent fund dedicated to assisting students at Willamette University who are working on public policy issues as interns either in state government or associations that address public policy issues. The fund is administered by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and the Chair of the Department of Politics.
