OUR COMPANY | History
In January of 1969 the firm turned its attention to
association management and legislative relations. Contracts were signed with the Association of Engineering Employees of Oregon and Oregon State Homebuilders Association. The Home Builders Association, initially paying a retainer of $350 per month, grew from 750 members to nearly 5,000 members under the firm's leadership. The contract for management responsibilities lasted for nearly 25 years and the public firm resigned its consulting contract with that association on December 31, 2003.
The firm still manages the Association of
Engineering Employees as a full service association management
contract. In the early 1980’s, Fred moved his office to Union
Street to share with the Oregon Homebuilders Association. "I think we occupied every office in that building at one time or another before we left," Fred said.
The firm founded the Oregon Housing Conference and co-chaired the conference with a designee from the Governor's Office for many years. Attendance at the annual conference normally was five to seven hundred public and private sector participants.
