Association Management
Associations, like small business, are incorporated entities that are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. This board makes decisions about how to spend the association's money in order to promote their cause. However, volunteers may not have the time or expertise to plan board meetings, keep financial records, and plan membership meetings. Associations contract with association managers, often called Executive Directors, to manage the administration so that volunteers can concentrate on the larger issues.
